PostSubject: Re: Message Board Recovery   Message Board Recovery - Page 8 EmptyFri Jul 03, 2009 2:11 pm

Well, I am back.

E. Don and Lane got away. They were in a red Mustang convertible and driving in excess of 135 mph when I called off the pursuit.

I will arrange a posse to go and search for them.

In the meantime, where is Ann?
If she does not arrive soon, we will need to forcibly bring her here.

Time is of essence.

I'm getting Ann's bed ready, but can't find her. Hopefully, she checks in soon. She doesn't want to be dragged here, but we do what we have to do . . .

Those frisky guys in the hot red Mustang can't get away! You know what to do, Alice. Get the job done!

I'll throw in a nice bathrobe and a pair of fluffy slippers for our distinguished guest. Lots of bed rest, hot chocolate and a good night's sleep await.

Maybe Zada will have some tricks up her sleeve. I've got a call in to her for help. She might be busy preparing for the big Fourth of July picnic though. It seems like everyone is vanishing!

I'm so happy that Ann has been found and Carol has filled out the forms. With Alice and Shelagh out in the helicopter, we're making progress.

I'll be fluffing everyone's pillows!

Helen,

You are in charge. I must leave town for the weekend. Thank you so much for your steadfast dedication to the cause.

Please discharge no one until I can certify them recovered.

Thanks!

You may certainly have your book, Ann. We promise no injections into the eyeballs. Everything here is soothing and relaxing. St. John's Wort is on it's way to your room. You'll be feeling better in no time. The doctor will check in on you when she returns from her holiday weekend.

We have a library of books from some of the most wonderful PA authors you could imagine in case you run out of reading material.

Om.

Helen, I see Lane is in recovery.

Give him a king bed and the very finest food.

An Oxycodone or two, before washing those scrapes and then a thin layer of Bacitran should do the trick.

Monitor closely his temperature--if it goes to 100 give him antibiotics.

Assure him he is not in trouble.

Remember the crowning ceremony?

I am on my way back to bed.

Just looked in on you all.

I hope E. Don is all right.

If he shows up treat him well also.

Perhaps you could attempt a reconciliation--I will leave that to you.

Flamingoes?

When I went to graduate school in 1978, one day there were thousands of plastic flamingos on the main part of the campus. I thought it was startling, but no one else seemed to notice. But Wisconsin people are like that.

We have a cow chip festival in our town. This year the theme is "Moodi Cow" and the cows will be dressed in costume I am sure, well the plastic and wooden ones anyway. So let me know the best way to dress up a cow and I'll pass it on.

What a place this is. Do you have water?

We don't at my regular home, our two neighbors don't, and now my husband and the plumber have gone to knock on the door of the developer because no one is answering their phones this morning, and only the developer knows how this silly water system for three homes was put in place and by whom.

Meanwhile we have gathered buckets, checked out where our other neighbor's garden hose is, flushed our toilets only once, and managed to make coffee with the pitcher I keep in my frig.

Do you think the twelve people coming for a barbecue and to watch the town fireworks viewable from our deck will mind we don't have water? Do you think there are any "port a potty" rental agencies open today? Could the recovery center let me borrow some water?

Lane,
I hope you're enjoying your stay and the accommodations. So glad that you found your way here on your own. I don't know what kind of scene it would've been if Alice found you first!

We are still looking for E. Don. That Mustang is so fast that he's just a blur when he passes by.

Thanks for the goodies, Marie. Everyone is enjoying the wonderful treats.

Carol, there's plenty of room for all your guests--and we have plenty of water. We'll even be celebrating with fine champagne as we all watch the fireworks from the balconies.

We do have our water back. The plumber arrived at 6:30 this morning and then said he couldn't get it fixed, that we'd have to call the well man, whoever that was. There was no answer at the developers house, so the neighbors and plumber walked down the road and knocked on his door.

They came back, fiddled with valves etc. and the water came on miraculously.

I'm going to be in this recovery place a long time.

Carol,
What a relief it must be to have your water back! I've been without water before and it puts a person out of sorts. We will take care of you here. Sounds like you could use your champagne now!

It's a bit like being in a hurricane and having all utilities cut off. Some actions are automatic, like flicking a light switch or turning on a faucet.
