Mare,

Thank you I wouldn't even have a clue how to go about it.

Flattery will get you nowhere, Marie.

I detected your ruse to distract and disarm me.

Ann took down your door.

You are under the influence of heavy benzos--the needle is in your eye. It has been there for two minutes only 58 to go.

Marie,

The benzos have really got you in their grip.
The injection is going faster than expected --only 20 minutes to go.
You are doing great!

Hmm, Alice I think Ann broke into the house next door. There seems to be quite a ruckus over there with about 50 cats in their yard circling around a thrashing grey object.

You don't really think I'd be silly enough to sit around and wait for an attack do you? I was watching for their arrival from the base of the mountain and let me tell you, a shark swimming up a gravel road is indeed quite a sight.

Alice you write fantasy here almost every day.
And Shelagh, that's MY story, and I'm sticking to it.

Shh! My mother was very opposed to fiction. Consequently we had Fox's Book of Martyrs etc.

The book she absolutely forbade me to open was her Abnormal Psychology-- so I sneaked into it all of the time.

When I was a teen-ager she caught me and lectured me on how
untrustworthy I was, how she was still the boss of me etc.

Dr Alice
Dr Alice with her skills
can help you with her peas and pills.
She might poke and she might prod,
but when she's done she gives a nod.

Pretty soon you'll start to feel
more relaxed and not so ill.
Her healing touch is like no other
with her advice you'll soon recover.

To Dr Alice I have to say
I'm feeling really well today.
This fact is really down to you
You loved us all that's what you do.

Yikes! I'm here Alice! I had to stop reading all the posts since I was here last and get right to it.

At your service. I like the plan--let's go for the billions! (I also like that I'm getting one of those billions)

dmondeo,

Thank you for your charming words of gratitude. I feel as though you have been largely unattended since your arrival here.

You have done far more for me than I have done for you,
Thank you.

Have you received saisfactory food and other amenities?

Marie, I am so glad you stuck with us--you have been though a real ordeal. How much of it do you remember? I have worried about you all day.

Abe, glad you are here. What sort of a bed do you wish?

Helen,

What a relief to see you and so ready to follow my plan.
I have fretted all day--had to go North for a friends's 70th birthday party and couldn't figure out how to disguise myself as a bank.
Let's do it first thing in the morning. Please catch a redeye out and I will meet you at the airport.

We will come to my house and sleep a wink or two.

Gates will get a shock in the morning when he has the misfortune of meetng us.

The beauty of my plan is we do not use a deadly weapon--if apprehended, we wll turn over the money and say it was a joke.

Shelagh, Stand by to receive your billion.

Marie,

You have forgotten the vaccine ordeal--very good.

What kind of a computer do you wish?
We wil grab one of his as we run out the door.

Helen flew in, arrived at about 4:00 am.
It took us 20 minutes to get here from the airport.
She is still fast asleep on my daybed in my office.

I will let her dream for 25 more minutes and then we will be off.

Dave is pulling the boat out of the garage.

Helen and I will take the Prius

Well I'll be there, she is bright- eyed and ready to go.
Later, folks...

Helen,

Let's eat breakfast and have a good cup of coffee. My morning pills start at 7:00 am and kick in by 7:30.

I will take the pills at 7:00 and at 7:05 we will be off.

Dave is in our boat lurking near Gates' largely underground house.
He said all is quiet and calm.

While we wait for 7:00, You can practice turning my batteries off then back on again.

I like falling on the sheepskin rug in our living room--we will take it and the duck also. The duck is for good luck.

We will need lots of luck.

Sounds good, Alice! I think I've got it down on turning the batteries off and on. I'm pretty good with that high tech stuff! Definitely need the duck for good luck. We can take the sheepskin rug, too, if you think you'll need it.

No need for the sheepskin rug; you've got the eiderdown ... or is that the batteries down or Alice down on the rug? I hope Bill Gates isn't down on his luck, he might not have a billion or two to spare. We might have to settle for a few paltry million. Ah, well, such is life. As long as we don't let it get us down.

Helen,

You are the best. I sure hope Gates does not get suspicious of us.

We might seem a notch off with our rug and duck, but then folks are diferent today.
