I have only asked them to explain when I came under attack. I never asked them to explain before that. As for thick skin, I believe if you were to hit the big time you would come under greater critism than the blogger has so far given.

What the words too big for you LC? It means the more well known one is the greater the kick in the teeth they get from those that want to give them one.

Billy, I knew what you meant. But the comments (on the blog) have gone way beyond what is usually meant by criticism. And anyway the ‘big time’ would bring extra resources, a publisher, publicist and lawyer to help. In the circumstances I feel we should offer support.

And I have given Shelagh the best advice I could. If that is not support then what is? Lin also came in for critism from the blogger but I haven't really seen him do anything but offer support to both me and Shelagh, to his credit. So has Alice defended my right to my opinion. This thread was started by me to discuss an article from NPR on the possiblities offered to authors on the IPad, hence the title of the thread. I did not turn it into something else, I just didn't lie down and take the rubbish that was aimed at me. The article in question had some good points and some bad but that was not worhty of an adult conversation. No, instead we lowered ourselves to school kid level because I did a Big Book Gab on the "BLOG". It has been a very distracting two days yet I have had a good laugh at the childishness of it all.

Yesterday while you were doing your school kid stuff here we went to a birthday party on the beach. Someone caught some fish, someone else built a fire, the children swam and we ate fish stew.

If you look back over the posts since LC appeared on the forum I think you will find the ranting of a bitter, angry, unhappy person who thrives on causing controversy with her/his/its harsh judgment and snide remarks directed at others. Personally, I think if brains were cotton, he/she/it couldn’t scrape together enough to make a Tampax for a piss ant.

Between his/her/its mindless babbling and Lin’s dropping of the “F” bomb their so called discussions do nothing but take up space and bump the posting stats on the board.

He/she/it has now taken to spewing her/his/its venom at Billy. Because Billy posted over here (and said nothing derogatory about that board), Shelagh has tagged him a traitor and moved the thread to the private board and allows it to continue.

Brenda you are a talented, excellent writer and editor, devoted to you craft. Take pride in the praise and except criticism from people you respect and ignore the ramblings of nameless, faceless idiots!

I can assure you that Joe did not make that comment. The blogger is receiving support from members of the Author Society who once were the blogger's deadly enemies on that forum. I think others here might know the identity of "Don't care anymore" and it isn't Joe. At the moment, you are under fire on the blog, as is Lin, but aiming bullets at members on the Chatter Box is the wrong target.

I haven't read the comments on the blog since I deleted a member's account and, in the future, I will not be reading the comments. If members here fight on the public boards, those posts will be copied and pasted onto the blog. The blogger wants everyone here to start fighting among themselves. That's his remit.

Well, it appears to be from someone with Chatterbox access, and there were too many correctly spelled words for it to be Billy's.

But I may be wrong, and if Joe didn't write it, I apologize. I notice he didn't deny it, though.
