Billy, sometimes you have to be loyal. Alice has just defended you, but you didn't defend Alice when she was attacked by the blogger. You didn't defend me, either. You said that we should take it on the chin.

In which way was I to defend you that you could not do for yourself? I am grateful to Alice for standing up for what she believed, though I don't see how I was supposed to defend her or about what. Did the blogger invent posts? Then how could I defend them? What would I have said? These are nice people so leave them alone. I don't think they would have listened, do you.
Have you noticed when you react to the blogger they increase their post? I did say in the beginning that the best thing was just to carry on and that all publicity was good. You have admitted as much in previous posts and that over the past month more visitors have come to your forum. I see these as positives for the forum you created. We in the end have to take our victories where we find them and I would say you could take the increased traffic as such.
If I see a wrong that I can defend then I will try and have done so when this thread was first started in the Information section of this forum. The blogger mention it and I was forced to make a comment or two in defense of those that had posted. I did disagreed with it being moved but this is my opinion and mearly that. Though as I have said before this is your forum, not mine and I would wish to run one. Therefore what you say goes, you make the rules. Outside of here we are free to do, say what we wish.

No, Billy, threads should remain here and not be copied and pasted onto a blog. I no longer read the comments and I only check to see which threads are being copied. I brought this into the Chatter Box because the posts belong on this forum, not on an external blog. Anything on my blog is there with permission from the copyright owners. I have not and would not give permission for any of the posts on this forum to be used on an external blog. When Chris Turkel asked for the removal of his page, I removed it. When I requested that the posts from this forum should be removed, I was ignored.

You have openly supported the blog and the blogger. Please tell me what I have done (not what I did not do) to deserve all the criticism and name-calling on the blog.

You would need to ask the blogger what he see not me. I have never saidd you did or said anything wrong. If I do not agree with you then I will say it to you here on this forum. As for supporting the blogger I don't think I have. I have mearly taken advantage of the offer to talk about my book. If that means that you think I am supporting it then what can I say? You will believe it even though I do not.
As for the name calling, well again I am not the blogger so you would need to ask them that question. How do we defend ourselves in such circumstances? We go on the war path or we laugh it off. I thought you were strong enough to do the latter. After all as an author we have to have a thick skin, for we don't always get to hear the things we wish about our books. Often we have to deal with critism, it is part and parcel of writing. I think the same must be true of running a forum. I hope you can rise above it and continue.

I can't really remember but I don't believe so, though I could be wrong. As I said I only check it for a giggle, it can be kind of funny at times.

You may not think it is quite so funny if this forum is closed down. The author whose account I have just deleted said that she does not want the forum to fold, but she has filed litigation against the forum. If it is upheld, Forumotion will close the forum.

Shelagh, sounds like she's playing with herself. Maybe forumotion should file a countersuit for frivolous/malicious litigation, or whatever it's called.
