Here's another piece of Of Orbs and Lords artwork. It's a rough sketch I did of an earth-fairy. I first did the sketch in pencil and then scaned it into Photoshop for further editing. The blobs beside the fairy are water drops to give a sense of scale. In the story, the earth-fairies are a species of three inch high wingless non-magican fairies. They grow out of special plants and can live up to 100 years (though most live less than that). Earth-fairies wear fairy cloaks that are always either brown or green in color.
