| I spent the past couple of days designing coats of arms for all the major characters in my story, Of Orbs and Lords. Here are those designs along with their blazons and discriptions. Xeoromir The gold color represents wealth and treasure. The anchors represent Xeoromir's love of adventure. The red band represents power and Xeoromir's position as commander of Eptannia's army (which he obtains in chapter 12). The spear point also represents this position and also Xeoromir's involvment in the defeat of the evil Lord Aniitron. Immahyr The crown represents his rule of king of Eptannia (which begins in chapter 12). The blue color stands for truth, honesty, and inspiration. The key represents his guardianship and dominion over the kingdom of Eptannia and also stands for for wisdom and knowledge. The gold color stands for prosparity and wealth and the white color stands for peace. Lord Exxcelcis The gold color stands for wealth and prosparity and the red color for power. The saltire is for protection and the crowns represent his reign as king of Eptannia (He's the king of Eptannia in the earlier parts of the story). The Kingdom of Eptannia The red color stands for power and the crown stands for sovernty. The white color stands for a desire for peace and the gold stands for wealth and prosparity. The anchors represent the kingdoms ability to explore and also stand for the stability of the kingdom. The arrowheads represent the kingdom's ability to defeat its enemies and the forces of evil. Laegophlor Laegophlor is an earth-fairy, a three inch high wingless non-magical fairy. Earth-fairies, including Laegophlor love green plants and singing. The leaf represents Laegophlor's love of green plants and the musical notes represent his love of singing. The white color stands for peace and the green color stands for a love of nature. New Immahyr Coin I redesigned my Immahyr coin and replaced the date on the original coin with two coats of arms. One is the coat of arms of Immahyr and the other is the coat of arms of the kingdom of Eptannia. I kept the original design too, but I think the new design looks more authentic, because there are no mention of dates in the story and Eptannia certainly doesn't use the calender system we do. The story itself actually makes no mention of what Immahyr's coins looked like or what any of the characters' coats of arms looked like. All these are artistic creations created after the publication of the story. |
