| I decided to recreate my book, Of Orbs and Lords, in Legos. I made a movie set out of the plastic building blocks and filmed a 1 minute 16 second stop-motion movie based on the book. The frame rate was rather slow only one frame per second, but if I were to film at the standard 30 frames per second, I'd be working on it from now until doom's day and I'd use up all my memory cards! I'm not sure how to post a movie in a post (or if that's even possible on this forum). The file is 7.92 megabytes. Here's a picture of my Lego Xeoromir and Immahyr (Xeoromir on the left Immahyr on the right) Here's an overview of the movie set and props |

| Where I'd suggest showing these pictures is Gizmodo.com. They LOVE lego weirdness. But definitaly put the video up on YouTube.
I don't know know what you've got or how hip you are to movie files, but if it's a wmv file, just load it straight up to a YouTube account. You can then imbed it on a website or forums that accept HTML code. On forums like this you can post a link to the URL of the video.
You reallly ought to do this, I't's eye-catching and geek-friendly and could help you promote your book, big time.
Any questions on this, let me know |

| That's wild Gordon.
I hear no sound track. Is there not one? You should consider either a narration or music track.
I don't know how you got ths shots, but they look like still pictures sequenced together. You could smooth out some of the jerkiness by using fade of wipe transistions.
Pretty cool example of thinking outside the box. (Oh wait, lego comes in a tube, doesn't it?) |

| There isn't any soundtrack for the movie. The jerkeyness is due to the slow one frame per second frame rate. Using a higher frame rate would have taken more time than I had. There are fade transitions between scenes, just not between every shot. Windows Movie Maker wanted to make it into a slideshow with a frame rate of one picture every five seconds. At least at one picture per second, it looks semi-animated. |

| Very impressive Gordon. Now I know what can be done with Leggo. I thought the idea was to attach all those parts, and then before you figure out what it is, you knock it down. At least that's what my one grandchild does. |

| Ah. If they are still shots you can stretch them out on the timeline, then push them together for fades between each frame. Would give you a smoother flow.
You might also experiment with the "brightness" effect.
And seriously think about a soundtrack. It would help you get hits on YouTube and you could put it up on aniboom, as well. |

| I added some background music to the YouTube video from YouTube's music library. I picked the song I thought best suited the clip. Go ahead and enjoy it again! |
