Libraries have been struggling to find their place in this new digital environment. I envision the day when only "sample" books are on shelves (same with any remaining book stores) and all books are digital. In fact "shelf" will be an archaic term as there will be some other digital method for reviewing a book. The import of libraries will be their services.
