| Anderson rolled his eyes and said "Oh no--not another case involving Pacha!
We have had her in jail on numerous occasions , but have never made it to court with her.
The prosecuters take one look at her, then a second at the pliantiff, which in this is case is you and they decline to prosecute.
"Why?" I asked .
"Because she is drop-dead gorgeous and you look like a grandmother." |

| Good!
The penquins are here and they have turned my room into an ice skating rink for them.
If I say I am a bit chilly--they say "Well when you came here you were overheated--we cooled you down, Count your many blessings--worry about your friend --she is probaby roasting in an oven by now."
I can't seem to win-Boo hoo!

| There will be no time for that! They called the CEO of the hosptial and he came round to vent at me. He said my attude was the worst he had ever encountered. After all they had done for me all I could do was gripe, gripe gripe. Just who did I think I was anyway? The Queen of Sheba or what? I said I had been nearly killed--worked lke a dog, nearly eaten, nearly bitten by vpers etc. He said it all served me right. He had heard of the book I wrote about his hospital--and wondered what I had done with the millions it had generated. Either pay the proceeds or get out! |

| What is really more frightening than the administrator is when the hospital social worker arrives. She/he is there to either give you bad news or is the liaison for the psychiatrist. I told hospital staff one time they had to either let me out or put me in the psych ward. They let me out. |

| I was sitting on the edge of my bed trying not to cry when a hamster appeared. It said, "You thnk you have toubles--you have't seen anythng yet. I had a happy home--lived with DIck and Jacke Stodghill--all of a sudden a big hideous cat appeared and began chasing me. At first I was not a bit concerned--I knew Dick hated cats, but it seemed his hatred had waned. He laughed at the cat and even ate a broccoli spear. That is when I split. Anderson overheard this from the hall and reentered the room. " At least my trip was not wasted," he said.

| Carol,
I told them to put me in the nut house--because I had obviously gone around the bend.
They said it was only drug withdrawal.

| That can do it. There is one medicine doctors want me to take now and then that keeps me awake all night and gives me panic attacks when I go in the shower. I refuse and tell them to find something else. Back to that hamster in your room!! Carol |

I ,with my impecable manners, merely thought, but of course never said, "You wretched man, how dare you speak to me in this fashion? With your white hair you look like somebody's grandfather. Get W Lane Rogers to interview me--he is a grandfather and a historian to boot!" |

| Alice, Ignore Dick. He's just worried about what else Sophie's going to tell about him and he's preparing his defense. |

| I haven't, Lane explained it all to me. It took him no time at all and as usual very few words. In a nutshell, the whole crime was masterminded and executed by Dick--Why? Revenge, all because of the cat! Now we know what Dick would do if someone turned a cat loose in his house! |

| What did you use to thicken the plot, Carol? Surely not an author mill. Must have been a flour mill. Did Alice travel by gravy train to Ohio? |

| This thread has had over 500 views!! Don't you people have any good books to read??? And, this thread just goes to prove that every good thread turns to discussions about food. Shelagh, I always thicken the gravy with flour. Carol |

I am so glad to see you again! What did you do with Merrri? She had nothing to do with the cat. I guess she was simply in the wrong place at the wrong time. |

| Hi Alice, Good to see you here, too! I'm quietly proud of the members here and the way they have looked after the forum while I took a break. I left an answer to your question here: http://www.publishedauthors.org/chatter-box-f3/squash-flowers-viagra-t2229-15.htm#32011 You probably missed it with all this fun going on. |

| Thanks, Shelagh,
I am proud of you. I know from experience it gets quite lonely at the top. |
