| I guess you need to earn your keep. Have you seen Lamby around anywhere? |

| No Lamby no hedgehogs--nothing but snakes.
She does not even allow us to sample the food --keeps yelling that it is all for the picnic.
She has beautiful towels out and a note saying, "Shake your hands dry, you dirty pig." |

| Sounds like she's saving her best for the rest of us! That just means that you are a more intimate friend than the rest of us! |

| She is going all out--but we are getting desperate. I am supposed to eat frequently--so is Carol.
Carol tried to reason with her--got nowhere.
She made me dig a deep trench for the mud wrestling then threw some rattlers in it.
She wanted to perk up everything.
I am exhausted. Meiners came flying along in "Whoevers" hellicopter. I being red headed and microscopically indistinguishable from Walker, Texas Rancher grabbed the landing gear and clmbed up. Wilhelm was so surprised and happy to see me again that he fell out of the hellicopter.
Now I must rescue him, Carol and Merri. |

My roommate expects cookies at least twice a week, and gets them. That's in addition to pies and brownies. There are NO snakes in the yard because he's deathly afraid of them. And if I'm not cooking, he is...and he has great recipes too. I am a little lax on dusting, but it adds a lived in look! When you come to my house, everything I have is at your disposal. Lamby has been out rounding up the does so they'll bring their fawns to entertain y'all. That's a good thing, it means there's food left for everyone else! Don't let her fool you. |

| Carol, You are suffering from heat stroke and and untreated snake bite wounds. Hang in there--I will fly home and get you a proper sun hat--tell Dave and Tom everything is okay and be back soon. DO NOT GIVE UP--THERE IS HOPE! |

| Yes, Alice. I do have hair. A lot of it. The hairdresser reminds me of that every time it takes an hour to get it on the perm rods, even when it's short! |

| Seeing is believing--above are the "toothless earthworms" we have been contending with.
Not my idea of fun! |

| One time my son came to our cabin, got some earthworms in a little plastic margarine container. He left the unused ones in the frig and when we came back a month later, they were still alive and crawling around inside the little container.
Just imagine, if they'd had teeth, they'd chewed their way out and eaten all my food. Yikes!!

| Carol, glad to see you got that hot hat off your head--50% of heat loss occurs through the head.
Maybe now you can last til I rescue you. Stay away from Mr. Snake and Marie.
Stay near Wilhelm. Merrri is lost--hope Marie did not cook her for the picnic.
She will deny it, but then again who would admit to such an action?

| What?
The earthworms, the pythons or the dust bunnies?
Or all of the above?

| Could be all three, but I was thinking of overgrown dust bunnies! |

| Tom and Dave are on their way, Carol.
I am in Virginiia Mason Hospital Seattle, WA recovering from overwork, overfright and lack of food.
I am surrounded by towels and encouraged to use them.
Anderson Cooper is due any second to interview me considering the harrowing ordeal.
Penquins will come too.
Life is good! |

| Afterthought--Carol. please sneak food samples out with you so we can try to find Merri.
Next time believe me, when I suggest dish painting instead of lunching with Merri |
