Just got an email update from CaringBridge. I thought of Carol. I remember suggesting the service to her after a friend here in SA used it to keep in touch during those last months. She really took advantage of it as long as she was able.

I miss her, as I know you all do. Thought we might want to say a little prayer for her family.

Carol and I became friends on the PA board. She had a thread called Social Writing. I remember social letter exchanges long before internet made it so quick and easy. I loved Carol. She was genuine, kind, thoughtful, beautiful inside and out. I have pictures of the woods around her cabin that she loved so much. They are on my wall in the dining area. All the seasons.

Carol was a serious person, like me. She was filled with love, she overflowed with love. I hope her family is well this night.

She helped me in my failed attempt at making Dick Stodghill's book a best seller.

We simply had too much opposition.

She had a way of speaking of spiritual thoughts without making the reader feel they were "less than" if they didn't see things the same way. I admired that in her. Thinking of her reminds me of the others from the PA board that came here and have subsequently left known life. A friend of mine gave me a lovely poem that I will print when I find it. It's very comforting.
