I got some very good news this afternoon. When my leg cracked in great pain on Thanksgiving and I had to go into the hospital, they thought it might be broken due to cancer in the bones. They did two x-rays that showed no break, but a substitute doctor I saw the other day told me it had to be broken, I had to have an MRI and then the doctors would put pins in the break.
So I went back to my regular doctor, and at this point being a nervous wreck, she arranged an open MRI which I had on Friday. Today she called and said there was no break, that it was a bad sprain in the area of my leg where the cancer had cut off the nerves where I couldn't walk last year. I had radiation at that time which healed the lesion that had formed, and they decided a sprain had occurred in this place.
So I'm getting better but staying in the wheel chair and being very careful until they decide on a treatment plan.
I am happy. Sounds strange, but a broken leg was not on my agenda of horrible things to happen!!!
