We all do it from time to time, you know... deliberately sabotage an outcome out of fear that something bad will happen. What about putting off something urgent past the due date because anxiety takes over your body every time you think of doing it because there's a lot of unknowns. The best one, the one i love most is when you believe you're only capable of achieving what others say you can.

What almost sabotaged my level of success was a belief that i would not amount to nothing. My grade 8 teacher told me so. What do you think is sabotaging you?

It puts a smile on my face to know that she didn't succeed at stripping me of my power.

My fourth grade teacher told me I was left out when the looks were passed out in my family. I never forgot her unkind, unnecessary remark.

Some teachers!

On the other hand, she told everyone I was so smart I could be anything I wanted to be.
She was the meanest teacher and belonged in jail.
I could write a horror book about her.
She taught her own daughter and called her to the front of the classroom and slapped her face in front of the entire school. What a sicko.

totally agree with you JoeFrank...Nobody but yourself really knows what you can or cannot achieve. And, you really won't know how far you can go, for sure, until you try.

Wow! I can't believe a teacher would say something like that to a child, and would slap her own daughter in front of the class. That lady had some serious anger issues. Sad

You are right about that. She was a real inspiration. She screamed and through fits about everything. A mental facility would have been a better place for her than jail.
