Getting ready

My wife is coming home from the hospital today. I'm waiting for her call to pick her up.
Got up early, did the dishes, made my bed, vacumed, etc. Could this have been a mistake? She may feel she is not needed.

I'll go into the garden and pick a few flowers to place on the table, or is that overdoing it?

You may get the idea that I'm happy for her to come home.

Thank all of you for the positive energy sent our way. My friend Guenter is still in Rehab, but progressing in small ways. They are giving him electrical charges to stimulate the nerves and he is now able to move his hand. He can't stand yet, but I think he will succeed with that also.

Whatever you do will be appreciated, Abe. Flowers, a nice clean home to come back to and your smiling face will say more than a thousand words.

As nice and heartfelt all of your efforts are, I have no doubt she can read the love, relief, and joy behind them in your eyes and that will be far more appreciated for being natural, transparent and ever-present than the hundred other lovely things you might do to welcome her. Abe, how's your wife? Still recovering well?

Yes, thanks for asking.
She is on medication for the ulcer and will go back to the hospital to have the double hernias fixed, but first she wants a break. It was no wonder she lost so much wait. We now know why she had trouble eating. She's so happy to be home. She enjoys working in the garden (nothing strenuous) and watching the growth of her plants that she gives TLC.

She sounds like a beautiful caring woman, Abe, and I wish her well. And to you too. Since you've had some health issues, please don't neglect your own care.

Just realized that I wrote "wait" instead of "weight". I'll blame it on a senior moment. Soon that excuse will no longer work, then what shall I do? Just admit that I screwed up?

My "senior moments" are coming in bunches like bananas, but at least we're here to have them and are still able to recognize them!
