| Haloo my friends there. I was hurrying back in this small townon west coast of Estonia. I have been sitting here about a week now pondering what the hell I do here anymore, should I get on the road to be continued my way somewhere else. The life is coming dull and the hot sun bit the alumni skin of my auto buss so that there is impossible sit in. To moving to the sailing club to have a beer or two or many, bring not much relief to this dullness and emptiness. I wonder this always altering mood and the spiritual path of the human life as it is going up and down like a man in the ferry wheel in a amusement park, The old age is wakeful so that I surely wake up around five o'clock every morning to be found the world asleep even the birth still asleep in their threes. No movement no people anywhere. Well this is what it is, many men have said to me that I m leading interest and independent life but in reality I m living in may volunteering exile.
To day I bought things need to start painting a picture in oil and I have two large canvas where I am planed paint a landscape..

| That's a good thing, Harry. Having a creative project is an excellent way to beat the summer doldrums. Here, in San Antonio, Texas, we are in our 32nd straight day of 100+ degree heat, and no rain.
I am staying inside and journaling in my free time.

| 32 days of 100+ degrees, Ann? Since they began keeping records 150 years ago we haven't had that many. Why do you put up with it? Harry, I hope the painting makes things seem better for you. I didn't know it got that hot in Estonia. |

| They say our record here is 36 days. But that was in 1998, and later that summer, it rained so heavily for so long that we also had our worst flood on record before it was over.
Two of my three children live here, Dick. I guess that's why I put up with it.

| Dear Harry, Down here in Florida, the mosquitoes are having a big party using my blood as the drink du jour and toasting the yellow flies as they stop by and find the blood bank is dry. I have painted a picture or two of rivers here in Florida. The Alafia River has a natural spring. My children live on that river and so I painted the spot where all the beer drinkers and party people go for the weekend. The water is ice cold and fluctuates with the tide. They have a kyack (sp) that they have attached a small motor to go up into the spring area. It is like visiting the earth in it's primordial ooze, lush and dank with trees and vines hanging everywhere. Not much sunlight comes in there, only in patches. Of course the insects play a musical creshendo. I wish you well with the painting and the beer drinking and the rest of the trip. Love, Betty |

| It is in the seventies most days here. Beautiful, beautiful days that we earn from our terrible cold winters.
We are going to be doing a youtube production of "Summer in the Northwoods" to compliment "Winter in the Northwoods." The photographer is getting ready for a good day, good lighting, etc.

| Dear Carol, Me, Too! You should post that link for Harry to see! Absolutely beautiful. I am glad that you are having lovely weather. I am not really complaining about Florida weather. It is hot and humid, but that is why there are so many flowers and weeds and grass and trees and birds and animals and fish and rivers and oceans. Most of all, I am here, too. Have you read Cold Mountain? Ann asked me on another thread. It is civil war, I think. Perhaps we could all three read it and discuss it together. I do not know much about history, I guess. I would try. Perhaps some others would join in the discussion. Of course we could pick some author's work here and discuss that, I would hope like civilized people. You know, that is an idea. I like it very much. Suppose we just discussed the story, not the grammar, the punctuation, or any of that abusive kind of stuff. It is an idea. Love, Betty Love, Betty |

| Here's the winter video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vdXv65Bto8Y&feature=channel_page I'm going to work on improving my photographic skills, and my husband his editing skills. But we're planning to do this same trip in the summer. Maybe tomorrow if the light is right. Maybe this will help those in the south feel cooler!! Carol |

| Nice video Carol, I kept thinking of Narnia and expecting to see that Lamp Post. Brrrr Can I take my overcoat off now. Here in Southeastern end of the UK it is quite unsettled weather wise huge cumulus rain clouds are gathering, the hot sun peering through now and then. Distant rumblings of thunder giving us a clue as to what to expect later on. |

| Good video Garol. The winter in woodland and in forest before the wind have blow away the frost and snow from the threes - is really great sight and it is breathing deep peace that could find only of nature of a calm winter day.
That kind winter paths like in this video, could also find in Sweden and Finland both of them northern countries. |
