My Opinion

Dear Friends,

You have no idea how tough it is to read and not be able to respond.

I watched in horor as the forum rocked with varying opinions--opinions as basic as how to speak properly, whether to discuss bodily functions in public etc.

Of course the best ones were those which emphasized over and over again how meticulously they had been reared.

Sorry it didn't take. I don't care what you did at home as a child or how you taught your kids--if you do not have respect for authorty you are sadly deficient.

Shelagh could use some gratitude --when she says , "I rule here."

How about saying " Long Live the Queen!"

If you can't do that-- start your own forum!

I have to admit, I'm a little leary about meeting folks I've met online. I think I watch too much t.v. and hear about all these horror stories. Did you hear about the guy who went to pick up a car he bought through Craigslist and ended up getting killed. Yikes!

I forgot to say thanks for your comment about my eye surgery. I just got back from a follow-up appointment at the eye doc today and all is fabulous! Yea!

How cool, Marie. How long did you know them before you met them?

We could meet in a public place--how about the police staton?

I will request protection. You are scaring me now. I just wanted to meet you for lunch, not eat you for lunch.

By the way, my diet is restricted to fish and fowl--I don't even eat cows.

Alice is one of my oldest and dearest friends on these message boards, and I would not hesitate to meet her and her husband anywhere. She knows, however, that I do not share her opinion of Shelagh. I did, at one time, but no longer.

I think Alice and I are still good friends, even though we have a difference of opinion.

I want you to think and speak as you wish.

Friends do not need to agree with me. You are a wonderful friend.

I think it is a good thing to be able to be friends and have the understanding that they can agree to disagree on various things. I have always said that everyone is entitled to their own opinions. It doesn't matter if others agree with an opinion or not. What does matter is that everyone has the right to state their opinion.

However, one of my favorite things to say is, "Opinions are like noses. Everyone has one."

Believe me, Alice is very safe.

Alice, I have been laughing since I began reading this thread. Merri, there is nothing to fear. In fact, if I ever get to Seattle, I'll come along and protect you, or she can protect you from me.

I traveled to Arizona, Texas, Minnesota, Wyoming, and New York, to mention a few, to meet people I met over the internet. We have become fast friends and supportive of each other. It is a wonderful thing to have that face-to-face connection. In my case, it only amplified the strong energy connection we had over the internet. However, being a six-sensory helped a lot too. *wink*

I'm not sure about meeting people fronm the internet but it is good to see you post Alice. I do know one thing for sure I love Harpe's new look. Appears the surgery went well Don.

I got here too late to see the other avatar, but I like the new one! Very distinguished!

I almost got to meet Alice last year, but she was in the hospital as I was leaving Washington to moved back to Texas. I don't think she was ready for anyone to visit her at that time. But had she been home and feeling well, I would have stopped by to see her.

Maybe the next time I go to Washington for a visit I can still see her. That would be nice.

Hi Alice.

Someday I hope to come up there to visit with some of my friends. I don't know just when that will be though. A pastor friend that is in Bellingham may have me there as a specil speaker some day, but when I don't know. He mentioned it and so I am waiting to find out when that may be. But when I do, I'll be sure to let you know.

Wow...signing books. I haven't done that in a while. I don't mean to offend but I liked the other avatar better. I'd post my ugly mug but I don't know how to go about this avatar business.

I like the other one better too, Nutter. Much easier on the eyes.

Click on your profile at the top of the page, when the screen comes up, choose avatar, when that screen opens, click on browse. Find a photo on your computer that you want to use and then click on it, and then when it takes you back to the avatar screen, click save. Easy as pie.

Thanks for the info Don. Now everyone you know who to blame.
