We have been watching the History channel. There is actual footage of events associated with nuclear fall-out. The nuclear accident in Chernobyl - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chernobyl_disaster is a good example of the effects of nuclear contamination. It is estimated to take 1000 years for the effects in Chernobyl to disappear. The tests in the south sea Islands is another example of deception and the long-term effects of nuclear radiation. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_Hardtack_I
Central Europe has a major concern, particularly in Germany. The US stockpiled missiles and nuclear weapons in Germany making Germany a prime target for any conflict between the US and Russia. German citizens have protested and demanded the removal of these weapons. Some, but not all, have been removed. At the same time, the citizens have protested nuclear power plants. The existing plants are scheduled to be entirely removed by the year 2030. The delay is due to the owners of these plants demanding compensation for the loss of revenue if/when these plants are shut down. Wind and solar fields have already replaced much of the power demands. Next on the agenda is to eventually ban the use of fossil fueled machinery that includes automobiles, thus causing auto manufactures to ramp-up their efforts with hybrids. This coincides with the Paris Accord to reduce pollution.
In addition to the nuclear subject on the History channel, actual footage of war damage and the suffering of people is a reminder that war must be avoided. Playing tough by threatening others with war may be politically expedient, but a disaster for humanity. We must use our voices to resist those who want to lead us into another war. All efforts to find peaceful solutions must be sought.
