I congratulate Obama and his staff for their efforts in defusing the threat that Iran posed with the building of nuclear weapons. America’s allies: France, the UK, Germany, Russia and China are in agreement. The only country in opposition is Israel who has undeclared nuclear weapons. Israel has not and will not sign the treaty about nuclear weapons nor will they permit inspection of their facilities. One can read into their defiance whatever one wants to read or believe. Seeking peace -vs. - seeking war is a positive move for everyone. Israel doesn’t trust Iran and Iran doesn’t trust Israel. Actions speak more than words. Defiance of UN Resolutions should be some indication about any trust of Israel. Even Israel’s agreement with the US on the use of weapons we provided them was not honored. Most of the world wants peace. At the top of the list of exceptions is Israel. I think that they would agree with peace provided that it was on their terms. First they want to confiscate more Palestinian territory. Israel wants to be the only country in the M.E. with Nuclear weapons. Iran’s effort to acquire nuclear capability was a self-defense move to counter-balance the threat posed by Israel. Of course Pakistan and India have them. It is easy to see a country’s priorities when one considers hunger in India. The same could be said of the US. Money for the military is always made available, but money for the poor is not.
The countries that have nuclear weapons and are not signatures to the NPT are: Israel, North Korea, India, Pakistan and South Sudan.
