I hope every one adds to this thread.

When boiling eggs, especially really fresh ones like my Margaret and Reginald produce, put a tablespoon of soda in the water and they will peel much more easily.

Turnips are a beautiful thing but boiled tunrips can get kind of old...I tried this last night. Scalloped turnips au gratin. It was really good. I used campbells cheddar cheese soup, some onion and a little milk for the sauce, layered...and cheese on top, covered and baked at 350 until done and a few minutes to toast the cheese on top. How good is that!
