| 2/20/2013 Today I had to have an MRI, my Dr. ordered it...I have been having severe pain in my left shoulder, he said it could be a torn roatry cuff , a torn ligament, a torn muscle ? My sister-in-law had two roatry cuff surgeries, she said it's not the surgery but the severe pain afterwards, she also told me you can't drive for a week or more, it's very hard to cook, etc ! Me having kittens waiting to hear the results from my Dr....................Cheers..........Joe... |

| Cross the bridge when the report comes in; just gather intel until then without worry. |

| Be sure to get a second opinion before you agree, should they say you need it. If you do, while it is painful, it is usually successful.
Hang in. |

| Joe, just read your post. Try not to worry. Getting medical help is a good thing. Let us know the results. In the meanwhile, know that you are being sent positive energy. |

Don.. " Thank You !" You are a officer and a gentleman. Cheers..Joe... Joe, No Officer!!!! As related in the Prelude for Tarnished HALO and the short story MEMORIES on my website , The Army sent me to OCS (Officers Candidate School) after I returned from three tours in Southeast Asia and I lasted less than an hour before I punched out one of the cadre, bringing the gentleman part into question also. Whatever you hear back from the Doctors, my friend, as has been suggested, get a second opinion, then get it fixed. |

| I am hoping the delay is good news. Bad news travels very fast. Physical therapy sounds much more appealing than surgery. |

| Joe, as I mentioned in a previous email, I have an Arthritic shoulder. My options were injections and the last resort, surgery. Just this morning I had my second series of shots that go directly into the ball socket of the shoulder. I'm also applying the salve I mentioned. It is feeling much better. I don't know if that is from the salve, the injections or what. Surgery would be a last resort.
I want the use of my shoulder. I was splitting wood this morning and my wife yelled at me saying I shouldn't be using the shoulder. I will continue to do whatever I can so long as there is no pain, or if I can stand the pain. I take pain medication only when absolutely necessary.
Follow your Doctor's advice, however before considering surgery, I suggest getting a second opinion.
I'm scheduled for an MRI later this month. I'm hoping that it will be positive. |

| I don't know about that, Joe. Never had the baby experience. The noise of childbirth makes me believe that it is not something I'd want to go through. You are better off with the waiting. |

| Steroids don't agree with some people. Did you fall, Joe? I am wondering what set your shoulder off? |
