Now, this is good news. From what I read at their site, it does not mean that the Bombay Ltd. stores will be reappearing at the malls anytime soon, but the old Bombay products will be available online, and carried in some retail stores.

I have missed these products.

Bombay only as stores in Canada, which they never closed.

I e mailed them and asked if their going to do catalogues again?

And I recommended they look up their old line of furniture to

recreate some of their best sellers, I still have the Blair Eterage

Cricket Table and a small Queen Anne wine table....

I just like going in the store - I never bought anything though the friends with whom I shopped bought plenty.

Guess I'm out of touch. Have no knowledge about Bombay stores.

If I were to guess, the word, "Bombay" implies something of Indian origin. That to me indicates imported goods. I am most likely wrong with this assumption.

I'm not sure. I think it was more about style. The furniture and gifts had the look of the 19th century, with an old East India Company feel, but I think - could be wrong - that they were manufactured in the US or Canada.
