New Laptop

I just got a brand new HP Pavillion dv6000 laptop and it's awesome! It's much faster than my desktop computers and so far Windows Vista hasn't crashed yet! Now, I've got WI-FI too so no more wires! I was able to upload more than 2700 multi-magapixel digital photos in under 15 minutes. I hate to think what that would have taken with one of my desktop computers. Very Happy

Sounds good. I haven't been that happy with laptops but have not used a newer model. Hope it continues to please.

One thing I really like about the laptop is not being stuck at a desk every time I want to use a computer. Very Happy

Only thing about wifi is you have to be in range not very good if the army open fire though hehehe Laughing

My WI-FI works everywhere in my house and the wireless router is suppose to have a 1,000 foot range. Of course, this is assuming you have a straight line with no obstructions between the router and the computer. Still, it's better than being tied up with wires!

If you are in an urban area, you can often find free or unsecured wifi hotspots. So free internet with a laptop. However, I couldn't do half the stuff on a laptop I do on my desktop, simply because of the size of files and rendering processes. But they are getting close...

I'm able to do everything with my laptop I can do with my desktop. My laptop has a 120 gigabyte hard drive and 3 gigabytes of RAM and a 2.0 gigahertz AMD Turion processor. In fact, my laptop is actually faster than my desktop when using some programs.
