Vanity Press success

Two women at my church paid about $2500 each to have their books published by a small, local vanity press. The publisher and serveral authors of that publisher are members of the Naples Press Club. I am also a member.

One of the authors just signed a contract with Hallmark for their book, "Garage Sale Stalker" that will be a movie in 2012. An author who went with a vanity press and had success connecting with a literary agent at a local writer conference sponsored by the Naples Press Club has found her star.

To be so close.............

It does illustrate that vanity presses may have something to offer.
