I Have Hopes For KDP Select

I'm playing around with KDP Select and I have been surprised so far. I have 3 titles in the program and in the free promo. One of my books that was not selling at all, Vampire Sapien" is now #14 in poetry in the free store. I know this is not paid, but this has only been a couple of days in and it keeps climbing up the ladder in this kind of sleepy category, hopefully after the promotion ends there will be some paid crossover. I have not advertised the free promo at all. I will also do a free promo on my book sampler with the hopes that it will drive some paid sales. I have had one borrow of my sampler book.

The more authors who opt out the better as far as I'm concerned.

I have 13 ebook titles out there and I have 3 in the program. 2 are niche with Vampire Sapien - Epic Poem - it's #14 in free in its category. Sampler Platter is a preview book with samples of several books and it is #5 & 6 in its free category. The Mark Unmasked is #1 and 2 in its free categories in New Testament, it seems to be the only book in 1 free category and there are only 2 in the other free category. This is about all I plan to put in the program and will see if this drives paid traffic.

I think you did well to get in at the beginning; I am waiting to see how it works for you...I may wait too long or be glad I waited....I hope you are very successful.

I am not convinced about Amazon's intentions and for the moment I shall abstain.
