“It looks too much like Diet Coke”, was the consumer complaint uproar that caused Coca-Cola to cancel its white holiday can design of Coca Cola Classic. Do they really look that much alike?

I can very easily tell them apart. Are people too smashed now or what is the mattter with them?
People like to complain.

People have so little control over their lives these days that even control over such a small thing as a can design gives them a feeling of power. It's sad.

I think Diane is right. For a lot of people it's all about control. I'm convinced that a large percentage of the people against smoking in public are only doing it because forcing someone else to do something is what they really want to do.
Same thing with the coke can issue. Don't these people have anything more important to be doing?

If they want to do something worthwhile, they could get rid of the diet coke. It is not good for one and tastes awful. Furhermore it does not promote weight loss.
Coke is not a health beverage, but a small amount of the regular is better than the diet type.

Honestly? I think it does look like the Diet Coke can. People, especially during the holidays, aren't taking that much time to look. I think it would have lost them more business than it gained.

My physician says to picture every cola product with a skull and crossbones on it, real or diet.

I know that if you pour a soda, Coke or Pepsi, into an enameled oven broiler pan and leave it overnight, it will eat through the enamel.
I am not sure why. Perhaps there is a chemist here that can explain.

It will rot your teeth and gut too. Too much sugar.
It is not fit for human consumption, not on a regular basis anyway.
