Here' s a photo of a new breed of a blue orchid..

Dear Joe,
The picture is lovely. I have seen blue orchids in the Home Depot. I thought they were manipulated like crysanthemums are to suck up blue food coloring and thereby make the flowers blue. All the orchids that I have with that kind of flower are pure white with a yellow center. They are pure beauty as an orchid should be.

I wonder if it is an effort to 'gawdy up an orchid', if that is possible, for the people who have expectations of other colors.

I find the new Christmas ornaments gawdied up, too. I wonder if the merchants of this world consider (like the congress) that we peons have no taste, no sense of the artistic, and not sense of the justice in nature and need a slap in the face like this blue orchid to buy.

Joe, I do not believe in that blue orchid. You know your orchids and your lemon trees and all the beautiful roses. I trust your artistic, intrinsic knowledge of nature. This is not it.

I found out on a website that they feed the white
orchids a special blue dye ! So it's a new trick to fool the
public , as W.C. Fields said once: " There's a sucker born
every minute," I wasn't one of them, but I did photograph
it because it was unusual..

See how cool you are, Joe. I have faith in your sense of beauty. At least the picture you put up is lovely. I wonder how the orchid feels about this change in her presentation.

I have seen the orchids crying blue tears in the home depot. If I knew who to send the message to, I would tell them that they have abused the orchid.
Nature is so perfect, I wonder why anyone thiks they can enhance.
