Betty, I'm so glad your going to publish your books. My kids would love them, and so would others! I love #18 cover.

I would like to thank everyone who responded to this thread and encouraged me to believe. An extra special thank you to our Shelagh and our E. Don Harpe who always go out of the way to help.

Tomorrow, I will begin to upload to Smashwords. I hope I have done this all right, from formating the stories to listing the "you might also enjoy."

If none of that works, I will post my new bald headed avatar!

Just be patient with it, Betty. These things tend to be very slow. Small acorns and all that. Just have fun with it and it might take off. Ya never know.

What a project. Congratulations. I can't even get eight stories off the file....congratulations.

Dear DK.
The one story that I am most worried about is Moe's Hallowed Eve. That is because it was html formatted to begin with for Amazon Shorts. I hope the Smashwords style guide that has instruction for removing previous formatting hasl helped with that one. If anyone remembers, when I first posted that story here, Shelagh spent the time to make it readable on this forum; something I had not the knowledge to do.

When Shelagh edited my Wooffer Book, she sent those stories back to me in e book format. I think. At least it looks that way when I put them through the Styleguide procedure. Thank you Shelagh!

I had little to do other than set up Word with Smashwords specks, eliminate pictures, make some stories longer and some melded together, change the titles, make the covers, write the blurbs (yet to be done) and hope that Smashwords accepts what I have done. Tomorrow is the day. I will start with Old Agnes.

I am almost there.

I wonder if you start with your original, set Word to the specs in their style guide, copied your story into Word and go from there.
