Hi all
After lengthy battles with my Agent, I finally got the rights to put up my literally 'epic' novel on Kindle. (Its a big doorstop of a book, clocking in at 650 pages). If the idea of a mad grotesque hybrid of Tolkien and Terry Pratchett strikes your fancy - then Fairyland and the Revolution might be just the thing to escape into.
Here's some of the blurb:
"When the Queen of Fairyland botches a magic spell, Beezle, a cheerful
but conflicted demon, is dispatched from Hell to collect her soul.
Instead he falls in love with her daughter. To save the Princess, the
Queen sends her away to her uncle’s castle on the coast. Eager for an
adventure and challenge, Beezle relinquishes his magical powers,
disguises himself as a woman, and sets out to catch the Princess. But
can he survive without his magic in a country ravaged by violence and on
the brink of war? And what will he do without his favorite wobbly bits?"
Try some of the sample for Kindle and see if the concept grabs you. It's not exactly regular fantasy. It rests somewhere amidst traditional Satiric Grotesque
