PA will reccomend our books to Amazon Publishing if we pay $69.00 plus shipping.
Anyone interested in this deal?

Dear Alice,
Since Shelagh was so very kind to edit my Wooffer, I would not want the unedited verson that PA has at 24.95 for all of its 156 paperback pages republished. I hope that Mandinam Press will be interested in Wooffer's future.

Is Amazon accepting manuscripts? I haven't kept up. Last I knew, they were picking the books to publish that showed promise while listed at their site. It may have changed.

However, PA's "offer" proves that PA is not a publisher, but rather a printer. No publisher offers their books to another publisher that I know of.

I hope your experiment with this offer turns out positive....

The reason I won't do this is I have better ways to
use money then give it to them....I don't want to be
their cash cow, matter of fact I e mailed them that
my first book's contract is up in July 2011, 7 years
is finished and they don't have the rights to publish it
anymore, I'm waiting to see if I get a nice answer or a
snotty answer....

I just hauled out my contract. It's February 2006 - so I have forever yet to go. My contract requires communication in writing, registered mail. You might want to look at your contract.

In my limited view of what a publisher should do, I can't understand why I should pay them to promote/sell my book. Buying my own books is not promotion or sales. Are they interested in selling books to the public?

I like my book and want a lower price. Kindle would be great too. I am hoping.
In this case they are offering to transfer publishing rights. I hope they succeed.
