What's happening at Amazon.com? Lulu books and PA books etc. are no longer listed.

Did you get the note from PA that they are no longer printing trade paperbacks? Amazon insisted on printing the P.O.D. trade paperbacks or required the publisher provide them with five copies to store.

According to my email from PA, they are only printing hard covers. I don't know what that will do with their arrangement with PA. It may be transitional.

However, I don't know about Lulu.....or even if I'm on the right track.

I checked BN & it says a new copy of Arirang: The Bamboo Connection is not available at this time...I couldn't get into Amazon.com

It did have a listing @$12.95 which appears to be a third party as PA''s price was always over $25.00.

Mine, too. I think it was an Amazon glitch. I do wonder, though, what PA will do about the listings at Amazon.com.

DK..
My last book that came out in
Jan. 2010 " Visions Of Freedom," now lists
on PA for $24.95 , they raised the price, at
this rate the book won't sell....The book is
on AMazon for $19.95 , PA's original price..

Cheers..Joe

Imagine trying to sell a book printed in 2006 at $24.95! And then to sell hard copies after it's been out for 4 years....not a chance. I had a good run with PA; I did receive my ebook rights so I have a Kindle at the right price, $4.79. That's picked up and sold a few. The softcover isn't moving anymore except when I sell it myself for $10/copy. I "kept a supply on hand" for book festivals that I didn't attend after ordering the books, so I take them along to signings of Ghost Orchid.

Seems that Amazon has updated the website. Mr. Planemaker's Flying Machine is now available on Kindle:

The first volume of Literature & Fiction Interviews is available in ebook format on Barnes & Noble:

Start here:

https://dtp.amazon.com/mn/signin

You should have the original word processing files. Kindle does not work well with PDFs.

Lots of experts in the DTP Community discussion groups who are willing to help.

I had a success and a failure with Kindle. I loaded Arirang: The Bamboo Connection and it turned out perfect. I loaded Amour: Stories of Love and Friendship, and I still havent' been able to fix the format properly. It started as html. So, I'm not a good source for advice other than Al's which is to use the forums to get help. Good luck.
