| I would like to see an alernative energy form such as: wind power, sun panels, water power. Forget nuclear power--too dangerous. |

| It's a dilemma. One the one hand, we have to face the reality of our current situation. The alternate energy solutions cannot simply be put into place right away. We cannot just trade in our gasoline driven cars for electric ones, or change our houses from traditional electricity sources to solar power. We still need oil, and if we don't produce our own, we will have to pay higher and higher prices and risk more wars and escalations.
On the other, if there is no powerful incentive to change, we will only talk about it and remain in a worsening situation.
We are trying to reduce our deficit and encourage new technology at the same time. Also difficult.

| I don't know why higher gas and oil prices are a bad thing. Maybe it would make us more conservative in our use of them. Gas costs more in Europe and look at the great public transport systems they have. |
