| Upon awakening tomorrow would you prefer to be BP's President or President of the USA? |

| Sorry none of them. BP's boss is in a barrel full of horse manure and the USA President just has to much worry to deal with keeping the planet from being invaded by the aliens, hehehe No much better being me. Who needs all that money, anyways? Oh, hold on a minute, that would be me, wouldn't it. Doh! |

| Neither. I didn't write to become rich and famous. I could cope with the rich thing but not the fame. Seems they go hand in hand. Rowling has been dragged into lawsuits because of jealousy. I've had a taste of that and I can do without it. |

| It doesn't work that way, D.K. "Starving Artist" didn't come about by accident. Human behaviour demands focusing on a few at the expense of many. When a disaster occurs, we cannot focus on the plight of thousands. When a child is stuck down a well or a whale trapped close to the ice cap, the world becomes mesmerised. We can all identify with a single entity. |

| Being me is fine, as being someone else would leave me confused when I looked in the mirror and seen this other person staring back, aaaaahhhhhh. Sorry bad dream, hehehe |

| Keep waking up each morning, Don. By the end of this week, you should receive an email from me with a PDF file of your interview for Literature & Fiction Interviews Volume 2. Please could you send me an excerpt of the book mentioned in the interview (opening paragraph(s)).
Thanks! |

| Well, thanks all--great perspectives.
I'd be myself at age 47. |

| Before Parkinson's. I was born with a defect. I'd still be in the womb if I wanted to go back before it was visible to the world.
My husband was injured at the age of twenty-three. If he went back to that age, he wouldn't have met me.
Did you have grandchildren at the age of forty-three? Just curious. |

| Shelagh,
I said 47. No grandchildren until I was 53. I was over the loss of my parents, working, involved in church politics, (still thought the church was perfect) entertaining, having fun.
What defect were you born with?

I'm not Shelagh, but if you asked me, I have been told that my first sentence was, "I can do it by myself." I would say that was probably it. I don't think I want to go back. For all the screw-ups, I'm content with today. Ann |

What defect were you born with? the goblin thought hard and then recounted the legend that she had in fact been born with a wooden leg and a perch for a parrot, and where her first words were jimlad, and how she had soon grown up to become the surge of the sea, "...but I think I should really let shelagh tell for herself..." |

| I wouldn't call that a disaibility--more like a necessity. Also at 47, I still had all of my body parts. I miss my spleen. |
