In the morning we are flying to Barbados for treatment for my son who has developed dengue fever. There is a big outbreak here and in Trinidad. Will be there for a few days for tests all should be OK, fingers crossed.

We are back from Barbados (which has the best hospitals in the region) and everything is fine. Gangue Fever is a virus and in most cases is no worse than a bad flu. In a small number of cases it is life threatening. They can test the blood to tell who is at greatest risk and fortunately Orlando was not and we were allowed to return home.
