| Siberian wallflowers are the most scented flowers that I can remember ever growing. Many years ago, when visiting a park after a springtime rain shower, I caught a waft of this orange flowers in a flowerbed. Later, a friend of mine was growing them in the garden in masses, and the scent was extremely captivating. http://images.google.com/images?hl=en&source=hp&q=siberian+wallflower&gbv=2&aq=f&aqi=&aql=&oq=&gs_rfai= Then I got some seeds myself and started growing some. Now it seems the garden centres are no longer selling Siberian wallflower seeds, but I am working on buying some over the internet. What is your most scented flowers? |

| Lilac bushes. I have a bunch on the side of my house and it is just heavenly to walk past them when they're in full bloom. |

| I love lilacs. My youngest daughter was born in the Chicago area and I had a view of the Des Plaines River from my hospital room and watched the lilacs bloom. They have always been special. I have them by my house and they smell wonderful.
Our yard is filled with daffodils!!! Everyday I look out and there are more in bloom.
Spring is indeed in the air!!!!

| Lilacs have always been my favorite. I get high just being near them. *swoon* Too bad they don't hang around very long. |

| I prefer to call them by their botanical name 'Syringa'... just sounds more sophisticated. I don't mind admitting that I have secured a purple flowering lilac (like the one in LC's photo) for free from my next door neighbour's garden . She has a lilac tree growing right at the back, next to the wooden fence separating my garden from hers. Now this Syringa tree happens to have many suckers sprouting out of the ground, and over the years a large number of them had made it through into my garden. Majority of them I cut back and remove. I did take cuttings of a few of these suckers, taking care to keep a portion of their roots intact, and managed to propagate them away to a friend. He then had a few Syringas blooming in his garden. It seems this particular variety, Syringa vulgaris: http://www.gardenaction.co.uk/plantfinder/lilac-syringa_1.asp is very easy to propagate in this way..

| Spring...the smell of salt water, and a stiff breeze. My little ship Geronimo tugs at her mooring lines..."A short time more," I reply, "And I shall set you free." |

| Domenic. sounds interesting. Brings back memories of Long John Silver and Pieces of Eight. Perhaps you could get a parrot to accompany you. |

| Rhododendrons are related to azaleas. These remind me of the bushes growing along our drive in Orange. http://www.redbarnllamas.com/farm.html Ann

Here's a great plant to make a hanging plant out of, it attracts Hummingbirds.
Cheers..Joe
