Alice the person who made that slanderous remark on the other thread knows nothing they don't even know who they are.

Personally I think guests should only have the permissions to read only and not contribute like on other threads but that is only my opinion.
That way slanderous remarks can be acted upon and the offending person delt with.

For the record Alice you are alright and I'm proud to be one of your Fans.

That person may very well not know who he (or maybe even she?) is, but is recognized here by whatever name of the moment. Spanky is an old acquaintance, and appears here under many guises, not always as a guest.

Most unpleasant comments coming from any people have more to do with projections than with the person they are addressing. It is always about the person making the comment, rather than the person the comment is directed toward.

Think how sad it must be to need to put down others in order for a brief moment of feeling a little better about yourself. Then just let it go.

Dear Alice,
Mean people get away with being mean because they are as invisible as they can be. I wonder about invisibilty if Clicky can pinpoint the person who looked at your website. A person's internet presence is not that incognito.

There was a reason that my parents lived in places like San Lorenzo in 1947. It was a desert with a lone church, no police. They could be as mean as they wanted. Who was anybody going to tell even if they wanted to do it. You could talk to the wind and the wind would not tell for you.

Ann is a teacher. She teaches outside of her own worries. A teacher such as she, is a rare person. A person that sees the student as a person with hopes, dreams, worries and troubles and the future the look toward.

Ann should not be called names by idiots.

I did not consider that this conversation was about me. I only sited San Lorenzo because it was the epitome of nowhere. A place that mean people would love to call home. Like the Branch Davidians, The Jones cult. someplace no one looks and no one cares about that the mean people can rule. Families go through the same, is all I meant.
Despotic parents cowering their children. No one tells, no one dares.
Until one lone soul does dare, their secret mean-ness is safe.

Mean people on message boards are the kind that would send a virus to a million computers and smile. They have no integrity, no soul and snort into their hands because they think they have caused misery by their words and no one knows who they are.

They are a dime a dozen.

I don't know what happened to prompt Alice to make this post, but it appears someone said something out ofl line to either she or to Ann.

I'll be more than glad to come to their defense, should the need arise.

Like Don said, I am who I say I am, and you can find me in a lot of places on the web, just search for E. Don Harpe. And know that I certainly don't mind a bit of an argument, especially if you're saying things about my friends.

There are so many good posts here about the anonymous cowards who like to drop their stink bombs and run and hide. I do love how the core group comes in and beats them down with the best weapon--our words--and send them on their way.
