My audio book has a run time of 7.75 hours. When you think about it, when we put our books out there, we are asking people to spend a whole day or more with a complete stranger. What is your best pickup line/hook to get that stranger to take you/your book home with them? As a reminder, sometimes your book has to do all of the talking and you are not around.

I know that sounds strange, but it sums up what we are trying to accomplish when we want someone to select our book and take it home with them.

DT,

My dinner guests just went home. As we were talking and laughing one of them said, " You should write a book."

"I did," I replied, " and here is one you can have."
She walked out of our door with my book.

We will see if she reads it--time will tell.

Dear DT, Funny Allce should have said that. I have an idea. Maybe it is a good one. It will not make any of us famous, but....I will start a new thread called, Adopt an Unfamous author...... See where it goes.

Love,

Betty
