Hi DK,

You did break a rule slightly. I added a link to the newspaper article instead of the full text. The main purpose of articles is to attract visitors to the newspaper (who click on ads to pay for the running of the newspaper). Articles taken from newspapers should always be linked to and never reproduced in full.

Thanks - I had a suspicion that was tricky. The writing of that particular reporter was wonderful, and I was one of the ghost stalkers interviewed on my daily walk. Anyone who has not visited the swamps of the Everglades or Louisiana are in for a unique experience, especially if guided by a local.

I’ve been lucky enough to see every State in the Union and put a foot on every continent except Antarctica and for me the perfect place is the Wasatch Mountains of Utah. I’ve always said I was born two hundred years too late…I would have loved to have lived my life as a mountain man.

Don,

You had better come to Anarctica.

We (Dave and I ) are planning a triip there in 2010.

I want to go with new batteries.

Watch "March of the Penguins" first. Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

I agree about mountains - they can take my breath away. That's why I liked Idaho - but other similar states have similar mountain vistas.

A friend of mine in Key West was a delightful person of a sweet spiritual nature and dreams. His dream was to live in New Mexico where he had seen a picture in a magazine and actually visited once. His life had no readily visible evidence that New Mexico was anything but a pipe dream, some place to imagine when daily existence became hum drum.

I ran into his email the other day and sent off a "hello." He called me from his home in New Mexico, near the picture, where he and his new love (alas!) had purchased what will become with hard work and dedication a vegan resort and retreat. They invited me to visit - dreams do come true and lives can change dramatically. I can still conjure up the magazine picture he once showed me.
