Ah yes, I remember them well. Hot flashes are just your inner child playing with matches! I spent many an evening barefoot and in a light night gown on the porch, even when the temp was in the 30's. But thank heavens, those are behind me now. Now the only thing keeping me awake is the dancing of characters in my head.

I'm afraid nothing keeps me awake at night. I sleep soundly and sleep well. Every night. I do dream occasionally though . . .

George, you finally answered the question - a picture being worth a thousand words. I did notice that your switch was "turned on" or should I say turned "on?"

Lol! I only meant one of those hazardous thingies, not one would be enough -- although I'm sure it would! I seem to fail on one or two counts. I even fail on #1. The night before my wedding day, my husband slept at my grandmother's and, just before he left my parents home, he said to my mother, "I know she will please herself because she always does but, if you can, will you try to persuade her not to wear any makeup tomorrow." When I was getting ready, my mother came into my room and told me what he'd said. What should a girl do on the biggest day in her life? Please herself or please the man she's about to marry? Judge for yourself. This is me on my wedding day: This is the face my husband sees when he looks at me. It isn't the face looking back at him, but it is the face he sees.

How very lovely you were, and still are, Shelagh. We women do seem to need "war paint" on occasion, don't we? Sometimes it gives us confidence, and lets us focus on things other than freckles, wrinkles, or any thing else we see as flaws.

| I am just catching up on this thread, I have been off-line for a while, and just now catching up with all the posts. Wow!!! What an interesting turn of events... Or should I say, "As the Thread Turns."
Shelagh, you are radiant in your wedding dress, a glowing bride if ever there was one.
George, The graphic posters are great. Being in the scientific community I posted that (MSDS) Material Safety Data Sheet for Woman on my office door for a number of years. I did add one line to the poster under the line about being explosive, which said, "Use extra caution, this particular specimen is proficient with C-4."
