As long as you need a place to vent, the forum will be here, Alice. |

| Alice, we read and hear much about love – vs hate. I agree that love is powerful and is preferred to hate. There are times when the expression of hate cannot be avoided, i.e., I hate war. I hate the inhumanity to man. I will admit that I hate many of the things Trump says and represents. I cannot find anything to love about them. I hate evil and Trump represents much of the evil I hate. |

| I am anxiously awaiting a book written by 27 psychiatrists who say Trump is seriously mentally disturbed and not safe to be in office. I hope we can replace him before he begins a war. |

| That is also my hope, Alice. I think about past wars/conflicts, especially WWII where people say: “Why didn’t people do or say something?” History tells us that the news was government controlled and that people heard the propaganda from a limited media source. It was also a risk to say anything to the contrary. Today we have multiple avenues to express our dissent without fear of reprisal. The only reprisal we can expect are from those with opposing views. We still have a voice and a vote. Although our voice is often like a “voice in the wilderness”, there can be no excuse to remain quiet. Our conscious is still the best guide. |

I hope we can replace him before he begins a war. I have the book and am reading it. It is very scary. We need to be far more discriminating in our candidates for office and make them demonstrate basic knowledge of history and contemporary affairs. There is a petition to remove him from office which I have signed |

| Alice, your concerns are shared by many. I could never understand why political appointees were not subject to testing. Anyone who ever applied for a government position were required to undergo a series of tests. One of these tests concerned history, especially the history of the US along with the working of government . The incompetence of some in government is evident. They are even ignorant of basic geography. The cliche "the blind leading the blind" is real. As for Trump's removal from office, it is a much talked about subject especially for people in central Europe who are concerned about another war - a war that can be prevented. Waiting for the results of Meuller's investigation and who will be arrested. |
