| I think it's a very personal choice.
Me, I've asked to be cremated and my ashes taken in a plane to 12,500 feet and thrown out so I make one last jump. |

| Don, I think your choice is a good one. As far as donating our bodies to science, that is also a choice that has merit to the person making that choice. I believe that once the body ceases to function and the energy has left the body, if the corpse can benefit others, why not donate it? Ashes to ashes and dust to dust is just that. I believe in Eternal Life in that energy never dies, and when the body ceases to function (dies) the energy departs the body. Just my belief that I have written about in my short story: "Eternal Life - Transformation" |

| It doesn't matter what we think, you should do as you wish, Joe.
People get few choices in life. They, YOU, should have the final say about what happens with last remains.
I love Don's idea. |

| You might want to consider the thoughts of those who love you and will have memories of you after you leave this earth.
If I die before my mother, she has a plot for me in Michigan. I have insisted on cremation but that a few of the ashed may be buried at that plot to give my mother comfort. My preference is to have my ashes spread out in the Everglades somewhere.
In the state of Washington a person under 300 pounds may be cremated for $499. I think the company is national. I don't know if the charge is the same in each state. |

The Funeral business in this country is a rip off ! I saw a segment on 60 minutes years ago comparing the USA to Europe, it's like night and day here they try to put a guilt trip on you, Europe it's one huge store with everything and people pick out what they want , no one bothers them, I also found out that if a person isn't cremated by a certain time they charge you $75- a day for everyday that goes by.....Someone needs to regulate the industry, I read about a year ago Walmart was thinking of getting into the Funeral business, it wouldn't shock me ! | I like the idea of ash spread in the desert...let the wind carry it were it will. Whatever makes you feel okay about it Joe. Check out the cost of having you ash spread, and where it can be done. Your young. By the time you die, they may be eating dead people. They can't eat ash. |

I Already downloaded documents from UN&M , made new will plus other documents, I just have to get two witnesses. When UN&M is done with you they cremate you and scatter the ashes. I feel this way the body is just a vessel for the soul, trust me I saw death up and close and personal. Everyday I have a talk with me and believe it or not it helps, who says you need a psychiatrist or a support group. Joe |

| A friend of mine used to say the psychiatrist is a rich man's answer to a poor man's chat with himself. |

| This is a very personal decision, Joe. Like Alice, I think you need to do what you think is right for you. For me, what happens with the body after death is of little consequence, though relatives may feel very strongly--and differently--about this. When my time comes, I would like to have my ashes taken to Spain only because that is where almost all of my relatives lie and where my wife wants her ashes taken. But for me, Earth is so tiny in the grand scheme of things that wherever/however we make our final resting place, we will forever rest in our beautiful, wondrous, blue pebble in an endless firmament and, more importantly, our souls will fly to the arms of God. And that is just fine with me. |

Victor..
" Thank You !," I already have downloaded the forms, I feel the body is just a shell or a casing for the soul, when one dies, the soul goes on, the person isn't here anymore but their life is in the hearts and minds of their loved ones. My niece has agreed to be my executor plus I attached a codicil stating if I have any pets when I go in the future she has to agree to adopt the pet, she has agreed...
