Charles Ramsey-Punished-That's Why People Don't Get Involved

Everybody has heard Charles Ramsey's name by now. He helped three women escape from a house next door that had been missing for ten years in Cleveland, Ohio. I knew from the moment he started to get a lot of media attention, someone would try to dig up dirt on him and tear him down and it has happened already. Domestic abuse arrests of Ramsey from over ten years ago were dug up by a media company. We really need to examine our culture of finding fault with everything and everyone.

It's so true ! This man is a hero, if not for him
those young ladies would still be there, he deserves a
reward ! You know the media, they will dig and dig....

In our society, the limelight is hazardous. Good news doesn't sell. Dig up some dirt and sales soar. What is it about the human psyche that thrives on bad news/dirt? When people get together to gossip, it is rarely about anything good. At this point in my life, I don't buy into breaking news. When the dust settles and more investigation is made, there is some truth.
We saw that recently in the Boston Marathon massacre. Speculation, inuendo made headlines.

It is true that being a good Samaritan is often accompanied by negative consequences. I worried when he hit the media what the result would be. He is a hero. For this moment in time, he is a hero and deserves respect as such.

Whatever he has done is done. He surely done good this time. We should focus on the present and let the past go. Maybe he learned from his mistakes.

Way too much negativity. Negative emails circulating, Glen Beck griping. We need to change our focus.
