| This news just in:
All of the Wal-Marts across Alabama sold out of ammunition as of yesterday. A reliable source said that one of the purchasers commented that while Russia may have invaded Georgia, they sure as hell ain't doin' it to Alabama. How about it, Phil? Jim Woods www.ultrasw.com/jwoods |

| Our local Wal-Mart sold out last month here in Georgia, but the Russkies must have known. They never set foot in my county—and we were ready fer `em.
When the store-bought cartridges run out, I still have 5 pounds of black powder and about 20 pounds of 50 cal minie balls for my St Lewis Hawken. |

| Dear Phil, There is no need for the Navajo code in the south. I remember coming from Arizona and trying to get gas and directions in Mizipi. That was nothing compared to being lost in Luzana. What nice smiles they all had though! It rained to beat the band! Love, Betty |

| Betty, I found the folks who live in the south to be very grand, even if they do talk kinda funny! And you sure are right about the smiles, too. |

| Sources in Atlanta claimed they saw Sherman's ghost. Otherwise, the whole "invasion thing" was the result of too many people drinking Ripple at one time.

| Sherman's dead? Our prez, Jeff Davis, will be glad to hear that!
And it wasn't Ripple. When the Georgia Corn runs out we usually go with the Boone's Farm Apple. It's got a screw-on lid and here lately July was a very good month. |

| Take a Black or a White Russian. Don't fight it, just sip it. |

| Good idea, Abe. Both drinks go just fine with slaw dogs and grits.
