| Success must be a real bitch! The problem comes because they can't just type their signature out and attach it! |

| They have such authentic looking signature stamps these days that I'm surprised they don't use them. To make it even more authentic, they can have several stamps made each with a slightly different mperfection indicating that the author got a bit fatigued while signing. I had to stop using my stamp because I lost my stamp pad. |

| Might as well pre-sign all the books. Then, customers can add their own personalisation. It's a variation on the stamps idea, abe.

| I am getting pretty busy, signing my books and all. I media-mailed a copy of Gunshot Echoes to Utah yesterday and another one to Martha's Vineyard today, and I had to sign both of them. I'm not so sure about this writing life. It may be more work than I want. Jim Woods [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] |

| Yeah, Pam, scan it and attach it to the half-title page with duct tape.

| I often thought a little branding iron would do the trick |

| I like the branding iron idea better than the duct tape, Lin, since (Zada) I sold my stock in the duct tape company years ago thinking the stuff was a passing fad.
