Inauguration of President Barack Obama

I am proud to be a U.S. citizen today. I thought the inauguration reflected the unique qualities of the U.S. that we need to broadcast to the world - we want to be inclusive - we want prosperity to touch us all. We don't wish just a few elite to control the country's wealth. We want the people to be engaged in the political process. These are all ideals that need to be projected every day so the Congress gets to work and someone starts ferreting out the lobbyists and special interests that have been detrimental to our ideals.

It's good to be reminded about our ideals, our hopes, our dreams and the changes that continue to make this country a beacon to the world.

I loved the dancing. The President and First Lady were so elegant and classy.

So far, it appears that the family in the White House is a family with values that other U.S. families can look to for guidance. I realize that people are human and what one sees is not always the reality - but so far, it is so nice to be proud of the president and the example he and his family set not only in this country but for the world.
