This hotel owner deserves a gold medal, he refuses to ask people who

have no homes to leave his hotel so the NY Marathon runners can stay there.

Bloomberg regained his sanity. The marathon is canceled

All the money around the event should be donated to helping the people. That includes sponsors, event fees, special housing, money for services and setup, etc. I have a problem with Red Cross because they pay exhorbitant salaries and benefits to their administration and overhead takes a lot of the donation. Salvation Army is tighter ship. The food banks would make another good donation place. I'm sure there are low budget local charities.

Joe, I hope all is well with your relatives. Knowing the status is very important. Often that is forgotten and relatives suffer. The same thing happens when one is hospitalized. Getting information about the patient is often difficult. The response is, "You must talk with the Doctor." Sometimes that causes more angst, i.e., are they trying to hide something?

During any emergency, a system should be in place to provide information to relatives. Needless suffering is caused by lack of information.

Thanks...Finally got a call late last night from my Siser-in-

law in Staten Island, she said she was safe, the house un-touched.

She said Staten Island is a disaster area, No water, No Food, No

Fuel, she said the other day she made the mistake going to work

in Manhattan it took over two hours, she said 34th Street looks like

a ghost town still no electricity between 34th street and lower

downtown Manhattan, I heard that Long Island is 90% shut down..
