| These are the stories I have up on Smashwords.com as of this morning. If anyone feels it in their heart to download and review any one of them, I would be so happy. If you go out tonight and look toward the southern sky, you will see the glow from my heart bouncing off the clouds. I will post the rest on this thread as they are published. | How long does it take to be on Barnes & Nobel. Do the books that are free on Smashwords go there as .99 or not go at all.
I am working on uploading all thestories that are approved for the premium catalog on Smashwords to Amazon Kindle.
It occured to me today that, perhaps it is from Amazon that B&N get it. It seems like something is wrong in my thinking that. Would I look in the Nook Store?
My brain is having electrical difficulty!
Love, Betty

| Betty, here is what I got when I did a search on your name at B&N: http://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/books/1107730724?ean=2940032861867
So, as I understood (I think), these books would be the ones to submit to Kindle, and then, as soon as they appear there, you point out to Kindle that they are free on B&N.
However, (thank you Shelagh), I just went to my Distribution Channel Manager for the first time, and now - I think - I know a lot more than I did.
What I am not sure of is whether or not, under those guidelines, I should use KDP to set up my ($.99) Kindle version of A Time for Peace, and then ask them to reduce the price to free, or simply wait to see if Kindle and Smashwords work out the new deal they were discussing on the channel manager page, and let Smashwords handle it then.

| Wahoo!!!
I found them myself. Today is the first day that they have shown up on search at B&N.
I am encouraged. Onward to Amazon!
Thanks everyone. Love, Betty |

| I suppose the best thing for now might be too keep on with the earlier way, and watch to see what happens with Kindle and Smashwords. As I read it, we can always change the way we have it set up.

| I have been thinking about this a lot. I have not had the time to upload to Amazon, but I see how B&N put my books as published through Smashwords and the people who look at them or buy them are recorded on the Smashwords Dashboard.. I am inclined to just wait until Smashwords works out their deal with Amazon. I consider that I would have one record of sales that would encompass all ebook providers that my stories have been submitted to, one check from Smashwords for all that were sold. If I do not understand this properly, someone please enlighten me.

| I don't think Smashwords will ever be successful dealing with Amazon they've been trying for over a year now. It seems like Amazon are intent on going it alone for now. I put my book on Amazon myself as a Kindle edition Smashwords allows you to do that. |

| I just added up all the downloads for all the stories for December. I put them up on December 22nd. For December, 2242 downloads. Out of that, 23 were purchashed. The others were offered as free promotions, a total of 3072 downloads to date. I am pleased with that. I get a little discouraged and then am reminded that the goal is to be read and that if enough people read and like what they read that the sales will follow. This month, I have not offered as much free and so far 10 people have bought single stories and today someone bought the All The Stories book. Onward! The new free story, starting tomorrow is The Deer Hunter. Love, Betty |

| Dear Abe, One thing about us independent people, we have tenacity.....lots and lots and lots of tenacity. You have it, Shelagh is queen of tenacity! We never give up. Never! If awards were given out for Tenacity, we would all win. Here we are, still full of conviction, hope, work ethic, intelligence, aware of new stuff, still giving it all we have because we have tenacity. We are not just a bunch uf pretty faces! I believe in us. Love, Betty |

| The Tales Of Wooffer's Woods is now available in paperback.
Amazon is so good at what they do. If you click on the Kindle version of The Tales Of Wooffer's Woods for 2.99, you will see that the paperback is now an option for 5.99. I love that. No, it is not 25.43! It is only 5.99 and, AND the ebook is right there for the little amount of 2.99.
You can see them all on my website, www.woofferbook.com
Life is good!
Love, Betty
