Love the pic of Lancaster Castle. So medieval. You can see centuries of people crossing the lawn, their costumes changing every twenty years.

We did a tour of the oldest surviving family home in Lancashire, Browsholme Hall (pronounced 'Brewsom') -- the ancestral home of the Parker Family, who have lived there since it was built in 1507:

Before we did the castle tour, we had lunch in Lancaster (Penny Street Bridge):
