OBAMA ............THE RACE CARD !

I'm so sick and tired of people using the race card against people who don't
like Pres. Obama's politics ! Everyone in this country has a right not to agree
with someone's politics and if that person is black the race card is at once
pulled out by the Liberals. I for one am not racist, anyone who knows me
knows that I come from a bi-racial family, my step-father was black and I have
seen growing up in the 1950's and 1960's the racist way people treat other
people.....If you don't believe me read my book...

Unfortunately, people are not sophisticated enough to judge a person's policies and not their skin color. I'm sure you well know the undercurrent of prejudice in this country toward any non-white person, especially those of black or Mexican heritage. I lived as a white person in the out islands of the Caribbean where I was often the only white skin for months at a time. Color disappeared from my eyes; however, I know I was seen as "white." I was second in leadership of a 60 person staff in Miami where only two of us were of European heritage and the rest were from South American, Caribbean and African heritage. We were a wonderful team and I wouldn't trade one of my staff members, including directors and every level of management, for someone who "looked" like me. What a stupid way to judge people - by appearance.

DK....

I've always believed if you take away skin color,
religion, etc. we're all the same human being...But for
some reason many people either don't understand this
or their ignorant ! I saw this in Memphis in 1986 when
I was visiting my brother and his wife ( She's Spanish,)
I over heard in a store someone make a remark against
a black person, I turned around and said: " I see we still
think that way ? I thought the civil war was over !" Then
I walked out of the store...
