I did this to find out which trailers work for me and which don't. These are my findings and no disrespect is intended to anyone.
The immediate response to his opening post was jocular (as you would expect on April Fool's Day!). I commented on the relaxed way his post had been accepted and clarified to everyone that the videos David had viewed were on the Published Authors Network and not the forum: - Shelagh wrote:

My words fell on stony ground because some of the members were determined to be offended no matter how many times David apologised. So, I offered my video to be shot at: - Shelagh wrote:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ICyumvxn1_k Surprise surprise we have a winner!! This is one of the better ones. The images relate very well and transitions flow in pace with the music. The text is minimal not obscuring the images. The only thing with it was I was unsure as to what type of story was? Travel? Romance? But It held my interest enough for me to keep watching to the end perhaps a link to a web page on the end would have enabled my curiosity to be rewarded by reading more info on the book.
This is not a brown nosing appraisel I'm being honest:) It is a good example. Well, surprise, surprise, David was right! The video views have just surpassed 25,000! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ICyumvxn1_k&feature=related

| I remember that thread. It was a great illustration of how thin-skinned so many writers are. One of the comments was, "Why don't you take it up with my publisher?" lol |

Oh how I wish that were true Alice, especially when it comes to choosing lottery numbers. My past on this forum has come back to haunt me it seems. |
