Sounds like the EIC (Earned Income Credit), where low and even middle income people who pay nothing in taxes get back tax rebates. At least Exxon provides jobs and products. |

| Did you ever post any of your personal info, LC? If not, your opinion doesn't mean a hell of a lot. I haven't looked, because I figured you're still too embarassed or afraid to let anyone know who you are. If you have, then let me know and I'll answer you. |

| I will verify her, E.Don. I have a copy of her book. She is an author. I don't agree with her political views most of the time, but, do like her.
She is not an imposter. |

| Lots of reasons. Don can't understand that everyone isn't Just Like Him, though, and is constantly enraged by it. Oh well. |

| LC,
I think you say things you wouldn't say if you weren't anonymous. Think aboout it. Why should you know who we are and everyone not know who you are?
It isn't fair. |

| It's not "fair" or "unfair." No one told you to use your real name. That was your choice. Personally, I think it's foolhardy. I don't want prospective employers, co-workers, supervisors, editors, publishers, and customers to Google my name and find a bunch of message board posts. Don doesn't get that, though. He just tantrums that people on a board he rarely posts on won't use their real names (when he's not actively chasing them off, like he did lovesamy). Don also doesn't seem to get that their "credibility" with him is a non-starter. I don't care if I have any "credibility" with someone who is just an internet name to me, real or not. People who don't find me "credible" are invited to skip my posts. Who cares?
Re me saying things I wouldn't if I weren't anonymous. Actually, I wouldn't be posting at all. |

| Blah, blah, yap.
You sure spend a lot of time whining about someone whose posts are of no importance to you. |

| I guess I say what I think and if a future employer does not like it, we wouldn't make a very good fit.
A lot of us began on PublishAmerica board. We had to disclose ourselves there. |

| I think LC has shared a lot of information about who she is, what she does, and how she thinks. Off and on, she even uses photos of herself as her avatar. At other times, her avatars express her artistic sense. Her current one makes me hungry, and if it depicts one of her always tasty recipes, I hope she will share it.
She and I don't share the same perspective on most topics, but I believe she is a straightforward person , and that you can count of what she says as being consistent with what she believes. Whenever I counter something she says, she stands up for her statements with strong counterpoints, but never puts down my right to disagree with her.
Isn't that enough?

| E.Don,
How about prevaricators and imposters? The web is full of them. We were lucky to start on PA board. They weren't allowed there.
All of the anti PA folks can complain to high heaven abuut PA, but they wouldn't have been able to talk there at all. |

lol, Ann! It's a bowl of soup I had in China. I drank lots of soup there, loved it. I've tried recreating it here with chicken stock, egg noodles, boiled eggs and bok choy, but the results have not been that great. |

| I know what you mean about the soup. No matter how I try to prepare Chinese style cooking at home, there is a magic spice I am missing.
At one time I revealed too much about myself in forums. I felt foolhardy safe for some stupid reason. I no longer feel that way. I am honest in my thoughts and posts but I recognize this is a big world on the Internet with people from all different backgrounds and values.
Once revealed, the Internet holds your posts for eternity. Data miners composite all you have said and may have nefarious purposes for its use. The bloggers in particular concern me. They reveal so much personal information. I have revealed to many personal bits here. As writers, our personal lives often become intermixed in our writing. The Internet is a dangerous place.
I am a human and emotional person; so, I have become distressed by some posts and responded with my distress. In reality, the person we project here is only a glimpse of our totality, the lives we lead, the histories we have experienced, our beliefs, our culture, our hopes and dreams for our futures. If we find a kindred spirit or a challenging adversary, the exchange of views is an enriching experience. |

| The missing ingredient is probaby MSG. It is a flavor enhancing agent found in Chinese food. It makes the food delectable.
Some people are sensitive to it and have roaring headaches after a Chinese meal. |
